A little about me…

I’m a UX Designer based out of Portland Maine! I’m a budding UX professional looking to grow his network and experience in UX Design through the creation of well thought out and visually appealing design.

My Background and What Brought me to UX Design

My journey of discovering the UX field began by following a mentor of mine that is a senior UX Designer in the field. I discovered that UX allows me to use some of my strongest skills: a detail-oriented work ethic and creative mindset. I discovered my interest in detail driven work during my time working at B&G Foods as a quality technician and supervisor. During my time there, I isolated product, saving over $25,000 dollars in an emergency situation. Additionally, I’m a fast learner as I was promoted twice within 1 year of working at B&G Foods, exhibiting my need to be told something once before being able to implement it.

On the other hand, UX Design allows me to use my creative mindset to tackle problems and create visually cohesive results. I’m always searching for a job that allows me to think creatively and solve interesting problems. For example, while working at Abbott Labs, I was assigned a project late into its development and creatively increased the project’s effectiveness by 95%, showing that I’m always thinking what we can do better today than yesterday. Additionally, during my time at Abbott, I investigated over 5,000 complaints in a year resulting in being top 4% in my department, allowing me to diversify my projects and impact in any given department.

Through reflection of my previous job experience and through isolating what the key elements that I bring to the workplace are, I was able to plan my forward career trajectory and position myself within the UX Design industry.
